DaCdb Features and Costs
Rotary International discontinued its support and distribution of RI-CAS ” in December 2008. Support will be available from a private contractor for a fee. Read the news release from RI here. RI-CAS no longer computes attendance correctly, no new updates or releases will be available and other bugs in the software will not be fixed. This is why clubs in more than half of the Districts in the U.S. are now using DaCdb (District and Club Database software). Plus there's no software to install on your computer and you can securely access the system from any Internet connected computer in the world! Rotary District 6510 implemented DaCdb in July 2009. If your club is not currently using this system or is not fully utilizing its features, please review the following information.
DaCdb Features and Costs:
Everything in this first list is available at no cost to clubs (the District is paying these fees) to use the system as is.
The features included are:
- Membership directories including member photos, reports, statistics, dashboard, etc.
- Secure online access to member and club information (members can update their own information as well which may be a good solution for getting your member records updated),
- Printing name badges, mailing labels, committee rosters, etc.
- Managing club committees (includes ability for committee chairs to easily email their committee members and create committee rosters)
- Email system allows individual personalized emails to be sent to one member, groups, officers, board or the entire membership
- Club calendar – great way to promote weekly programs, club events, club fund raisers automatically appear on the district calendar which is great for promoting fund raisers to all Rotarians in the district
- Uploading your club bulletins so they are available online,
- Online registration for meetings and events (your club can even set up the system to accept credit cards online – set up costs apply here) this feature is built into the calendar system.
- and more.
Training and support for the features listed above provided by Rotary District 6150 District Communications Officers. See the Help tab in DaCdb for contact information.
Rotary clubs are encouraged to consider these optional Premium Features:
- Conversion of current RI-CAS database to DaCdb is a one-time charge of $200 – we can discuss this at your convenience to see if it is something your club will want to do.
- Premium features for clubs are available a la carte or as a package:
- Weekly attendance entry / maintenance – with this system you record each week’s attendance, make ups, excused absences, set up members who are on extended Leaves of Absence and at the end of the month one-click is all that’s needed to submit monthly membership and attendance report to district. Features include bar code scanner, off line attendance and full integration with the Dues Billing module. (download a flyer with more information about the Weekly Attendance Premium feature.)
- Dues Billing / Invoicing – this system links attendance and billing so if you charge for meals, missed meals, credits for certain types of excused absences etc, the system will handle these situations. (download a flyer on the Dues / Invoicing Premium feature)
- A standard CLUB web site, using your CLUB NAME, hosted on their domain name Rotary-Clubs.org. So, the
Rotary Club of Salem club web site is named: http://Salem.Rotary-Clubs.org. Or, you could register your club's OWN domain name, and still use the DaCdb transactions to populate the web pages for you. There is a monthly hosting fee to have your own domain name hosted on their server. Visit the www.Rotary-Clubs.org web site for more information about this Premium Feature.
- Individual premium features cost $3 / week / feature (billed annually). If you want all three premium features, the entire package is $349/year. The standard club web site one-time set up fee is $197. More advanced web sites are available - contact Mike Thacker for more information on these options.
All fees for Premium Features are paid directly to DaCdb and include training and support directly from DaCdb.
For more information about the DaCdb Premium Features, contact: Mike Thacker - Phone: 252-257-2563 or helpme@DaCdb.com
Here’s a link to download a DaCdb Overview – Feature Summary to provide to your club’s board of directors and/or members.
